Q: Who registers the dog and who pays?

A: I register GSP's in NAVHDA and I pay for it.  You will not get paperwork a chore and a bill; you will get your registration.  Keep this in mind, it’s included in the price.  You may use this registration to register in AKC, but I no longer wish to support them.

Q: What kind of registration will I receive?
A: Unless you are an established breeder or well known to me, you will receive a
Limited NAVHDA Registration.  This can and will be switched to FULL registration for good reason.  Good reasons include that you are ready to start running in AKC Field Trials, or have qualified your pup and want to breed it.  I will happily grant the full registration once you demonstrate you have a breedable dog.  This means you will have acceptable PennHIP evaluation and a NAVHDA or AKC hunt test at the upper levels of training.  A Senior Hunter or a passing Utility test will be the criteria.  If a NAVHDA judging team hasn’t done so already, I’d also like a look at the dog to check for bite, eyes, teeth and generally sound conformation.

Q: What is a Limited Registration?
A: A Limited Registration states that your pup is registered, but will not allow for the offspring of your dog to be registered until it’s lifted.  This will help me protect my good name and reputation.  All you need to do to remove the limited registration is qualify the dog for breeding.  Lifting your limited registration will be one of the happiest days of my life.

Q: OK, I have to ask, why the Limited Registration?

A:  I put my good name on the pups and I don't need it tarnished.  I try very hard to weed out the bad owners and bad situations, but it's impossible to be 100%.  So the limited registration means you can't sell one of these pups to a puppy mill, and I hope it will generate a phone call if the dog is to change hands.
