Q: Is there any training you start before the puppies are ready to go home? A: I don’t care what other breeders say. Puppies at 8 weeks aren't really "trained" for anything. They will be socialized with other dogs and kids (lots of each). The pups will be handled every day, raised in the middle of the house, and I'll do everything I can to stimulate their developing minds and instincts. They'll play a little wing-on-a-string and see a couple of live birds. I call this exposure, if you want to call it training, so be it. I'll do my best to have them accustomed to doing their business outside, but they won't be house broken.
